Saturday, January 24 marked the start of F.L.O.G.'s Sixth year. And what a start it was - nearly 150 people were in attendance, with almost a third being brand "spanking" new to the group. Everyone gathered to meet both "old" and "new" friends. It was an incredible evening - starting with a marvelous turn-out for set up, followed by a demonstration by one of our members of an incredibly wicked device - a vacuum bed made of latex and pvc pipe. This device encases the individual in a latex envelope, and then a vacuum sucks all the air out of the envelope sealing them in the bag very tightly (think frozen Han Solo), and vulnerable to outside attentions. Those that tried it out seemed to really enjoy the experience and observers seemed to have a good time as well. In addition to the bed, our demonstrator also had two versions of latex sleep sacks with him for people to try.

After the demonstration, the Dungeon was open for play and was put to very good use - it seems that everyone was anxious to play after a break of nearly 8 weeks. We saw bondage scenes, impact play, single tail whips, predicament play on the spider, and just plain ole good flogging. The sleep sacks were available for use during the rest of the evening, as was the vacuum bed. And, even though the night had to come to an early end because of very un-cooperative weather, there was lots who stayed to help take down everything...with all the help it was actually fun and the help was most appreciated. The bad weather was the only damper on the evening. All in all, a very good start to the New Year.

FLOG's February party was a festive occasion - The evening started with a HOT night presentation of a Q&A session for those new to the group, the area or the lifestyle. Then, a Mardi Gras celebration broke out, complete with masks, beads, lots of feathers and smiles everywhere. As usual, the group outdid itself with masks and beads. And if you didn't have beads to wear when you came in, you did when you left. There was also quite a feast topped off with a fantastic King cake offered by our resident chef. Yum!

The fesitiveness carried over into the scenes and play that night. The equipment was full all night long with a wide variety of scenes and combinations - it make for a very interesting night. Scenes ranged from a "traditional" spanking scene that left the very willing submissive floating and gingerly sitting for the rest of the evening. There was an absolutely exquisite piece of rope bondage by a Mistress and her sub, accompanied by a good flogging. There were zippers, canings, and just in general, a good time was had by all.

The evening also saw the arrival of a whole bunch of new people that night - as well as a lot of the "regulars" - it made it hard to close up and go home at the end of the night.

FLOG's March party saw a rare occurrence - for the first time in at least two years mj missed the social. And since she wasn't there to write up the Social Recaps, we recruited guest reviews (from new visitors and regulars) of the night - here are some of their comments:

"I can give you a glowing report for the perspective of a first-time attendee. It was an awesome evening! Although I have been active with some events held in St Louis for a few years now, I had never had the opportunity to attend one of FLOG's monthly get-togethers. It was great to have a chance to see old friends, meet a bunch of new ones, besides putting faces to many of the names/handles I see on the various St Louis lists.

And the play I witnessed Saturday night was awesome! From first time players, to a few of the most experiences players I have ever seen, I was very impressed each scene I was able to watch. And I understand a "few" folks took delight in seeing me well tenderized by Wench and Angel, who had received permission from my Owner and my Mistress to put me through my paces that evening. It was an awesome scene involving one of my two favorite toys...canes! And the "hurt" still feels so damn good even this morning!

Your group is be commended for the great evening you provided all that attended. The venue, vendors and folks present were just a fantastic combination to experience."

"It was nice to have a few additional vendors. I admit I had to buy a litho of a Queen on Her throne with a female at Her feet.

One thing I did enjoy is seeing two females (t & s) being flogged at the same time. I don't think anyone would argue that having two rumps in the air being flogged together by another Female was not delightful to watch. I know I enjoyed it!"

"Well, I don't know about a complete synopsis, but here's what I know from Sat.'s FLOG...

There was a good turn out Saturday night. We had as many vendors as we had tables, all with great wares and customers stopping by frequently. Some of the Carbondale folk returned, and of course, it was good to see them! There was also a good-sized group from alt, of which many were there for the first time - some from up to about 12 hours drive away. Play was varied, and there was lots of it lots of it! In spite of the heat up front, there were many scenes, and it looked like a wonderful time was had by all. There was a game of fetch the nickle, which drew the attention of many in the crowd, eliciting much laughter."

"Per your request, we are submitting our thoughts regarding Saturday night's activities. We both started the "play time" off as usual with a scene involving light impact play on the St. Andrew's Cross. Clamping, flogging, and tickling were the forms of sensuous stimulation for the evening. M was at her best fulfilling the role of a hapless UN worker bound and helpless and I as the nefarious Taliban Chieftan, Mohammad Da Meanie, residing in the border town of "Veryverybad" which happens to be just east of Kandahar....LOL.

We found Richard S's scene to be of interest. It involved R and one other young lady tethered to the new play set in a compromising position while Richard applied electric current to their more sensitive areas through a Tens Unit. I take my hat off to Richard for devising some really sophisticated, yet terrific scenes.

The crowd probably numbered close to 150 people by 10:00 p.m. with perhaps seven vendors selling their wares. Overall, we were very impressed with how the evening went."
