1. Do you need to have experience to attend F.L.O.G.?

Absolutely not, but you do have to be at least 21, and a member of the FetLife group FLOG_StLouis. The F.L.O.G. Social/Play Party is open to all members of F.L.O.G., but it is NOT open to the Public; you must have an invitation to attend.

We were all new at one time, and F.L.O.G.’s main goal is to provide a safe and nurturing atmosphere for those who attend a Social/Play whether they are new people that are seeking help and guidance in this lifestyle or “old folks” still looking to learn. The experience level in F.L.O.G. ranges from beginners to people who have 20+ years of experience.

2. Can members from other groups attend F.L.O.G. events?

Yes, as long as they are at least 21 years old and have received an invitation, and follow F.L.O.G.’s rules and etiquette and COVID protocols.

3. What happens at the F.L.O.G. Social/Play Party?

People from all walks of life, who have a genuine interest in learning and living this lifestyle, come together to socialize, watch and learn, and play. Some attending will be engaged in varying forms of play, within the guidelines of the rules, while others will be watching and learning. And still others will just socialize.

4. What is the venue like?

The venue is basically just like any other location that you would rent for varying functions, such as a wedding or a company Christmas party. It is a large space that F.L.O.G. rents each month The space is divided into three regions: Registration, a social are which houses the venue’s bar and vendors who come each month, and then the dungeon space which is one of the largest in the area. Coming into the building all attendees must to “street legal” but once in the space, within the guidelines of the Rules and Etiquette and Missouri law, the attendee may dress as they please. The venue is a smoke-free building. Vendors, independent of the Group, sell leather goods, and other kinky items.

5. Does the venue know what we’re doing?

The Owner of the venue is very aware of what F.L.O.G. is and what the attendees do, has worked with the group since F.L.O.G. started using the space, and has a copy of this group’s rules. Adherence to those rules, the laws of the municipality and the laws of the State of Missouri are followed carefully. Those not adhering to the rules and etiquette are asked to leave.

6. What is the dress attire for the party?

While fetish attire is totally acceptable and encouraged, we ask that you are “street legal” coming and going from the building. Once inside the F.L.O.G. space, you may wear anything you like within the limits of the rules (based on Missouri law, which says that nipples and genitals must be covered). Typical dress ranges from fetish-wear (leather, corsets, PVC, etc.) to regular street clothes. First and foremost, wear what makes you feel comfortable.

7. What do I bring to the F.L.O.G. open party?

Basically you just bring yourself and your toys if you wish to play in addition to the ID and COVID requirements list on the Home page. The venue has a cash bar, but no food service.

8. What if I don’t have a partner, can I still go?

Yes, you don’t need a partner(s) to attend. The Social/Play Party will offer you the ability to meet and mingle with others in the lifestyle. And, just by attending, you can learn different techniques and ask questions, thereby furthering your knowledge of this lifestyle. Attending the Social is a good way to meet others in the local scene.

9. Do I have to RSVP?

If you are a first-time member, YES!   F.L.O.G.’s Social/Play Party is open to members who have joined the FetLife group, been vetted, and received an invitation. That process is relatively easy and there is no cost to join. This enables us to get an accurate headcount, provide directions, familiarize ourselves with the new participants, and most importantly, ensure the safety of the attendees.

10. How much does it cost?

Entry fee is $15/person. However, if you are willing to donate time for set-up/take-down, DMing or other help, the fee will be waived. There is no fee to join the group.

11. What if I feel uncomfortable or frightened, what do I do?

At every F.L.O.G. event, there are designated Dungeon Monitors (DM’s). These DMs will be introduced at the beginning of each gathering, and wear vests that clearly designate them as DM’s. If for any reason, you should feel uncomfortable about a person, situation, or scene, contact a DM immediately. F.L.O.G. does not allow any type of pressure, harassment or coercion to make someone play. If you would like an escort to your car, please contact a Monitor. They will be happy to walk you to your car.

12. Are there rules and if so, what are they?

Rules have been set in place to provide a safe environment for everyone who attends. These Rules are posted at each F.L.O.G. event in plain view, and are also listed on “Sticky Notes” on our FetLife page at FLOG_StLouis. In addition to the rules, an etiquette list is also posted. We’re serious about the rules and etiquette and expect members to be serious about them as well.

13. Can I sell my handmade things at the party?

If you are a vendor or craft-maker and wish to share your wares with the group, you are more than welcome. Anyone wishing to do this must have let us know they will be vending at the event by sending an email to stlouisflog@gmail.com.

NOTE: The purchase and selling of items is an action strictly between the two parties, and F.L.O.G. does not warrant the merchandise, nor does it receive any money from any vendor.

14. Is what F.L.O.G. does legal?

We work very hard at following the laws of both the municipality where the venue is located and the state of Missouri. As we are a private group, and not a business, there is no need to acquire a business license or permit through this municipality for F.L.O.G functions.

15. Does F.L.O.G. have protocols in place to keep its members safe during COVID?

Yes, F.L.O.G. has established protocols based on CDC guidelines and with assistance from other BDSM groups across the country. They are listed in the “Rules” and “Etiquette” tabs.
